- Some source records keep an old deadline after the procedure is complete. Victano now treats the source's completed status as closed, so those records do not appear as calls you can still bid on.
2026-09-04A larger keyless trial during the Founding Beta
The keyless trial now allows up to 5,000 searches a day while checkout remains off.
- You can use search tools before creating an account, with the same daily allowance shown on the connect page and in the MCP instructions.
- The hourly safety limit remains in place, and the trial still does not store a profile or open notice documents.
2026-08-29What we store on your device, in one page
Victano now has a published cookie policy at victano.com/legal/cookies, linked from the footer of every page. It says what is stored, when, and what happens when you decline.
- The consent record is named. Answering the dialog stores one first-party cookie (
cc_cookie, 182 days) holding the categories you allowed and a random id for that answer. An earlier draft of the policy said we set no cookies of our own, which was wrong, and it was corrected before the page went up. - Declining is described exactly. Google Analytics is removed and its tag stops loading; the cookie-free counter stores nothing, and the page you were on when you declined has already been counted, which the policy says rather than implying otherwise.
- If the consent dialog cannot run in your browser, nothing is measured at all. Nobody is counted who has no way to decline.
- The "Cookie settings" link now works on every page. It was dead on three of them, because the footer that offers it is shared and the code behind it was not.
2026-08-28Search before you sign up
You no longer need an account to see whether Victano holds anything for you. Connect it to your assistant and ask a real question straight away.
- Five searches a day from one address, against the whole live corpus rather than a sample of it. Every answer says how many you have left and what the trial does not include.
- Nothing about you is stored to count them. The tally lives in memory keyed by a one-way hash, so no address is written down anywhere, and it resets every day.
- An account is what you create to KEEP things: a capability profile, a notice's documents, and the daily brief. It still costs nothing, and it lifts the limit.
- Match reasons stopped quoting words you never wrote. On a German profile, 26 quoted terms included 9 that named a different concept:
betreiben reported as betreuung, kommunen as kommunikationstechnischen. They are checked as whole words now, not by their first five letters. - The weekly brief no longer shows one source at a time. Sources that stamp a publication hour were sorting above sources that publish only a date, so a single-country brief could be all national or all EU-level; a day's notices are now spread across the sources that published them.
2026-08-26Tell us when it goes wrong
You can now send feedback without leaving the conversation. Ask your assistant to pass something on and it will, after checking the wording with you first. It reaches a person, and it gets read weekly.
- Feedback from inside the chat: a bug, something missing, something that was harder than it should have been, or something that worked well. Your assistant is required to ask before sending anything in your name.
- It carries the shape of what you were doing at the time (which tool, how many results), so "search found nothing" arrives with the numbers attached. It never carries what you typed.
2026-08-25The Founding Beta opens
The first public version. Connect the AI you already use, describe your company once, and ask it what is worth bidding on. What follows is what changed that is worth your knowing about, rather than everything that was built.
- Search says how many notices it actually looked at, so "eight results" comes with the number it chose them from. If the wording did not separate them, it says that too.
- Lithuanian notices carry English category labels, so an English question reaches them. Where a filter cannot select a source at all, the answer says so instead of quietly returning less.
- A contract split into lots shows once, not eight times.
- Deadlines come with working days remaining. Where a date is a purchasing system's expiry rather than a date to bid by, it is labelled. Those are years out and used to look like the least urgent real tender.
- Market consultations are marked as what they are. About one open Lithuanian notice in eight is a consultation nobody can bid on yet.
- Reading a TED notice returns the buyer's own selection and award criteria where they published them, and says which of the two happened when they did not.
- You can delete your account from the conversation. It sends a link to your inbox and nothing is destroyed until you click it.
