US federal contracts (SAM.gov) are not in the corpus yet.

How the member states were decided (26 of 27)

26 of the 27 member states have been surveyed and decided. Nine were checked and declined rather than skipped: Netherlands (only 1 of 57 notices sat below the threshold), Italy (published monthly and in arrears, an archive rather than a feed), Sweden (no national notice database exists, by law), Denmark (1.13x, the thinnest additive layer measured, and 81% of the active national-only rows carry no deadline), Portugal (the open route carries concluded contracts, not calls open for bidding), Austria (the federal notice domain does not answer from two continents, and every route that does answer is a paid platform), Cyprus (no unauthenticated route: the only search form requires a captcha), Luxembourg (~1.25× inferred on open count; default browse is TED-saturated; ASP.NET postback paging for an estimated 40-50 additive rows in a 222-row market) and Malta (no unauthenticated route: the only search form requires a captcha). Greece, where not one row carries a submission deadline, passed too and is undecided for that reason rather than for a licence.

What the corpus does not reach

  • Below-threshold contracts elsewhere

    We run national sources in 16 countries, so below-threshold work there is covered. Everywhere else in the EU we hold what TED publishes and nothing beneath it. Spain is covered above its minor-contract line only, because that feed requires a client certificate.

  • Award notices

    We hold calls you can still bid on, not records of who won.

  • The full tender pack

    We hold the notice text. Specifications and annexes stay on the buyer’s portal.

What a notice may lack

  • Contract values, often

    A value sits on 119,599 of 311,727 notices (38%). Many publishers state none.

  • A link for every notice

    Most results link back to the notice at its source, and 19,029 of 311,727 do not, all of them from Finland, Latvia and Poland.

  • Contract values in one currency

    Converted to euro only where a reference rate exists; otherwise left empty.
